26.11.2004 ... Huntsman gets payback from Predict

PSE teams up with Emerson and Huntsman Chemical to develop one of the first Predict model based controllers implemented in Australia. This new technology is DeltaV DCS resident and lends itself to a quick and seamless implementation. The result delivered an encouraging economic return for Huntsman who is now looking at other candidates for Advanced Process Control.

27.08.2004 ... 1st MVC Application for Worsley

PSE leads the implementation of the first MVC application at Worsley Alumina Pty Ltd.'s Refinery, using Honeywell's Profit Controller technology. The project successfully delivered the expected benefits and provided tangible impetus for many other opportunities.

01.03.2004 ... MVC Technology Upgrade Starts

PSE commences a refinery wide MVC technology upgrade at Caltex's Lytton refinery. The objective of the project is to upgrade the existing SMCA applications to the latest DMCplus technology and decommission the unsupported hardware platform.

28.11.2003 ... Revamped Gas Plant APC for Woodside

PSE completes commissioning of the revamped APC for Woodside Energy's gas plant. The benefits realised through improved APC performance equated to over 50% of the initial APC project - this represents a very attractive payback period. Although the project justification was based upon improved model accuracy following process changes, Woodside have determined that the majority of the benefits were attributed to improved APC application design (with the remainder coming from the updated model).

29.11.2002 ... PSE Repeats DMC+ Revamp Success

PSE completes a second DMCplus revamp with a major Australian oil refiner and the results thoroughly endorse the timely revamp of MVC applications to meet changing process needs. Both projects were delivered on a fast-track basis and delivered handsome paybacks for the site who is a mature MVC user.
